Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We've got answers. Here are some of the most common questions we receive about our farm and farmstand.
What are your farmstand hours?
Our farmstand hours vary by season. During spring and summer (April through August), we're open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm. In the fall (September through November), hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. During winter months, we're open by appointment only. We're closed on Sundays to allow for rest and farm maintenance.
What produce do you have available?
Our selection changes with the seasons! In spring, you'll find early greens, radishes, and peas. Summer brings tomatoes, corn, peppers, beans, and a variety of fruits. Fall features pumpkins, winter squash, root vegetables, and apples. For the most current availability, feel free to call us or stop by the farmstand. We update our selection regularly as crops come into season.
Do you use pesticides?
We practice sustainable farming and minimize pesticide use. We use integrated pest management techniques, crop rotation, and natural methods whenever possible. When pesticides are necessary, we choose the least harmful options and follow all safety guidelines. Our goal is to grow healthy, safe produce while protecting the land for future generations.
Can I visit the farm fields?
While we welcome visitors to our farmstand, we ask that guests stay in the designated farmstand area for safety and to protect our crops. However, you're welcome to take photos of the farm from the farmstand area, and we're happy to answer questions about our growing practices. For special events or group tours, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes! We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. We also accept local checks. For your convenience, we have a card reader at the farmstand. Some customers prefer to bring cash, which we always welcome, but cards are perfectly fine too.
Can I place orders in advance?
For large orders or special requests, we're happy to work with you! Please call ahead or email us with what you're looking for and when you'd like to pick it up. This is especially helpful during peak seasons or if you need a specific quantity of a particular item. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Do you offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares?
Currently, we operate as a farmstand only and don't offer CSA shares. However, we're always considering new ways to serve our community. If you're interested in a CSA program, please let us know! We'd love to hear from you and see if there's enough interest to start one.
Is your produce organic?
While we're not certified organic, we use many organic growing practices. We focus on soil health, natural fertilizers, and minimal pesticide use. We believe in sustainable farming that works with nature. If you have specific questions about our growing methods, we're always happy to discuss them with you.
Do you have parking available?
Yes, we have parking available right at the farmstand. There's space for several vehicles, and the parking area is easily accessible. During busy weekends in peak season, parking can fill up, but there's usually space available. If you're bringing a large vehicle or have accessibility needs, please let us know and we'll make sure you have a convenient spot.
What's the best time to visit?
Early morning and late afternoon tend to be less crowded, but we welcome visitors throughout our open hours! Weekdays are generally quieter than weekends. For the best selection, we recommend coming earlier in the day, especially on weekends when popular items can sell out. Each season has its own charm, so whenever you visit, you'll find something special.
